Jay-Z – Feelin’ It

A 12-inch record released in 1997 via Roc-A-Fella / Priority.

A single from his debut album "Reasonable Doubt," produced by Ski Beatz with Mecca featured on the hook.

The charm of this track lies in the lingering jazz piano tones and Jay-Z's laid-back flow. It samples "Pastures" by jazz pianist Ahmad Jamal. The mellow beat crafted by Ski Beatz perfectly captures the atmosphere of 90s NY Hip Hop.

An interesting bit of trivia is that this beat was originally intended for Camp Lo, but ultimately became a Jay-Z track, cementing its status as a beloved classic.

The A-side includes the Video Version and TV Track, while the B-side features the LP Version and "Friend or Foe."

More about texture and composure than flashiness. A record that epitomizes 90s Hip Hop.
